What Is EA Play Pro?
EA Play Pro is the premium version of EA Play. Naturally, it’s more expensive, costing $14.99 a month or $99.99 for the entire year, which is three times the price of EA Play. EA Play Pro is also only available via Origin and EA Desktop. This means that it’s not something that you can use throughout multiple platforms, unlike EA Play.
How Is EA Play Pro Different from EA Play?
Now that we’ve already established that EA Play Pro is a more expensive and limited version of EA Play, let’s talk about its other differences. Outside of price, EA Play Pro also gives you access to all of EA’s new releases. Instead of just having access to new EA titles for 10 hours, EA Play Pro lets you enjoy the games in full for as long as you have an active subscription. Even better, having an EA Play Pro subscription lets you enjoy such titles up to 10 days before it becomes available to everyone else. The best part about EA Play Pro is that you’re getting a complete version of whatever game it is that just released. This means that you get a copy of the game with all of the season passes, DLC, and expansion, among others. While it’s true that the same games will eventually be available on the regular EA Play subscription, you’d have to wait a while for that to happen. Thus, an active EA Play Pro subscription is something that those who are fans of particular games would love to have. This is especially since it only costs $15, which is less than a quarter of what most games with DLCs and season passes usually go for at the time of its launch.
Why You Should Subscribe to EA Play Pro
One good reason why you should subscribe to EA Play Pro is Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The remastered compilation of the first three Mass Effect games, complete with all but a single one of the DLC releases - the Pinnacle Station DLC from the first Mass Effect game was not included - is already a bargain at its current price at $60. However, you can have Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for an even lower price of $15 if you subscribed to EA Play Pro today. Granted, you’ll only gain access to Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for a month for $15, but it’s more than enough time to squeeze in a complete playthrough of the entire trilogy or two. Not to mention, if you spent an entire $60 for a four-month EA Play Pro subscription, you’ll be able to explore its library of games more. At the moment, EA Play Pro has Knockout City and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition as its most recent titles. If you combine the price of both games and add a bit more, you’ll be able to subscribe to EA Play Pro for an entire year. If you have an active EA Play Pro subscription starting now until May 2022, you’ll have access to the likes of FIFA 22, Madden NFL 22, and Battlefield 6 before these games launch later this year. F1 2021 will also be available to EA Play Pro subscribers eventually but not at its launch date. On top of this, other EA titles like Criterion Games’ next Need for Speed game, among others, is also expected to become available on EA Play Pro. So, basically, what we’re trying to say is that, if you game mainly on your PC and plan on buying at least three of EA’s upcoming or recent games, you’ll be getting more than your money’s worth with a one-year subscription to EA Play Pro. As a bonus, you’ll be getting access to EA’s massive library of games at the same time.
