Case in point, Ubisoft just dropped details of the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, among other things.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is getting more content than expected
Earlier this year, Ubisoft confirmed that it was going to continue supporting Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla well onto 2022. However, most didn’t expect much after the initial set of disappointing DLCs for the latest Assassin’s Creed game. Even after several rumors about the upcoming DLC’s setting and how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s protagonist will appear in one of the DLCs, fans really couldn’t get hyped much. Now that Ubisoft has officially confirmed all of these leaks - and so much more - and fans can barely contain their excitement. As part of Ubisoft’s latest announcement, the studio just confirmed that both Valhalla and Odyssey are getting new expansions, the Crossover Stories, with a 35-hour DLC coming to the former in March 2022. This would explain why Ubisoft was working hard to try and trim down the file size of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as such a massive DLC would have catapulted Valhalla to the top of our list of the biggest games in terms of file sizes. The Crossover Stories are a series of expansions that will see Kassandra and Eivor Meet. Both will be available for free starting on December 14. Meanwhile, Dawn of Ragnarök is effectively another game that sees players take on the role of Havi, who is an “ancestor” of Eivor, in an attempt to try and flesh out the series’ dive into Norse mythology. Dawn of Ragnarok will release on March 10, 2022, and is set to make history as the largest DLC for Assassin’s Creed to date. Coincidentally, this isn’t the only game based on Norse mythology that gamers will experience in 2022. 2018’s God of War is set to hit Windows PCs in January 2022. Meanwhile, the game’s sequel, God of War: Ragnarok, will launch sometime in 2022, presumably right around the holiday season.
