In an earlier article, we discussed how Sony has minimized the gap between PlayStation Now and the Xbox Game Pass in recent months. The PS Now June 2021 update only serves to reinforce this, as it is headlined by the likes of CD Projekt RED’s hit action-adventure title, The Witcher 3, among numerous others.
What’s New With the PS Now June 2021 Update?
In a recent announcement, Sony just confirmed the additions coming to PlayStation Now for June, and the offerings are some of the strongest yet. After adding Marvel’s Avengers back in April, Sony is now adding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition to PS Now. Those who haven’t had a chance to play the 2015 title are definitely going to want to take this chance. The bundle doesn’t just include one of the best games ever released, but also 16 DLCs and two expansion packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Considering that subsequent updates, patches, and fixes have only done The Witcher 3 well, now is as good of a time as any to experience The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. On top of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is available until September 6, Sony is also adding three Sonic Games to PlayStation Now as part of the franchise’s 30th-anniversary celebration. The three titles include Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, both of which were released in 2017, as well as Team Sonic Racing, which was released in 2019. Another new addition that’s part of the PS Now June 2021 update is Slay the Spire. The 2017 roguelike title is a fusion of multiple genres. The core gameplay revolves around building a deck out of hundreds of possible cards as you try your best to climb up as high as possible on the deadly spire. The last two games that will be added as part of the PS Now June 2021 update are Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown and Car Mechanic Simulator. The former is a remastered version of the best 3D fighters of all time. However, because it will also be a part of the PlayStation Plus June 2021 lineup, PlayStation Now subscribers will be hardly thrilled about it. If it’s any consolation, Car Mechanic Simulator is one of the best simulator games available today. The game lets you build your own car repair service from the ground up. It teaches you all the nitty and gritty of servicing automobiles without getting your hands dirty.
