Cobra Kai versus expanded Miyagi-Do - Which side are you on?
The All-Valley tournament is almost here. With only a few weeks to go before Season 4 premieres on New Year’s eve, the poster does an excellent job of reminding audiences to pick sides. On one hand, we’ve got the Cobra Kai dojo. After Johnny successfully reformed his former dojo, his former mentor, Kreese, has come back to lead it once again. With Johnny’s son, Robby, at the helm alongside Tory and Kenny, Cobra Kai is all set to bring their signature ruthlessness for the upcoming season. As confirmed back in August, Cobra Kai Season 4 will see the return of Kreese’s old Vietnam war buddy and Karate Kid Part III villain, Terry Silver. Meanwhile, opposite the Cobra Kai is the unified front of Johnny and Daniel, which was established at the end of Season 3. The two will try and lead their star students, who are composed of Daniel’s daughter, Sam, alongside Miguel, Hawk, and Demetri, to win at the All-Valley tournament.
— Jon Hurwitz (@jonhurwitz) December 2, 2021 What makes Season 4 of Cobra Kai so interesting is what’s at stake. It’s no longer just pride and a year’s worth of bragging rights that are on the line anymore. Each dojo has decided to wager their respective dojo. This means that whoever loses at the All Valley will have to skip town for good. This should help create some much-needed tension and drama for the series’ fourth season. Regardless of what happens next in Cobra Kai Season 4, we can rest easy knowing that there’s more coming. Netflix has already greenlit the fifth season and we also just learned that it’s almost done filming. In addition to this, we know that Cobra Kai will spawn spin-offs in the future, with several already in discussion. TLDR; Cobra Kai Season 4 might be a culmination of everything that’s happened before, but it’s not the end for Netflix’s popular martial arts drama series.
