A joint partnership between Forever Entertainment and Megapixel Studio, The House of the Dead: Remake is confirmed for a Stadia and Switch release soon, but it might be headed to another console as well. According to internet sleuths, The House of the Dead: Remake has appeared on the PSN backend. Judging by how the Switch will use “gyro aiming controls combined with analog buttons” to help replicate the same feeling of playing the remake of the classic shooter in arcades, we wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being true. Unfortunately, this might also mean that the remake is not coming to Xbox consoles. Unlike the controllers from Sony and Nintendo, Xbox controllers have no gyro functionality, which means that it will take a lot of effort from the developers to make the game work without gyro aiming functionality on the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. Having said that, Sega hasn’t confirmed that a PS4 port of The House of the Dead: Remake is coming, so PlayStation owners might have to wait for a while to find out if this is true or not. The silver lining here is that gamers only have to sit tight for a little over two months - at most. The House of the Dead: Remake’s physical editions are set to hit store shelves on May 26 and June 14 in Europe and North America, respectively. Sega might wait until we’re closer to either of the two dates to announce the PS4 port of The House of the Dead: Remake. Speaking of PlayStation, the next few months are going to be big for owners of Sony’s best-selling consoles. In addition to the revamped PlayStation Plus arriving in June, SIE CEO, Jim Ryan, also confirmed that the PlayStation Studios will only continue growing going forward.
