Steam is the largest digital games distribution platform, by far. Making a game unavailable on Steam, regardless of its popularity, is always going to ruffle a fair few feathers. The worst part is that Rockstar Games appears to have confirmed in its announcement that the only way PC gamers will gain access to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is via the Rockstar Games Launcher. Fans also questioned Rockstar’s decision not to release images or a trailer ahead of the bundle’s release at some point later this year. With that said, this hasn’t stopped users from uncovering as much info as they can about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Case in point, Longtime GTAforums user, alloc8or, claims to have come across information that describes what kind of improvements fans should expect from the remasters of the three games, as well as the PC requirements. At the moment, the link that alloc8or provided is no longer available. However, he was able to take a screenshot, which has since gone around all over the internet.

Most notably, the minimum requirements are much higher compared to GTA 5’s on the PC. Whereas the 2013 GTA game lists the GTX 660 as a recommended graphics card, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition reportedly requires a GTX 760 as a bare minimum. The leaked information also recommends having at least 45GB of storage space available for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. It’s not unclear if this is for all three games combined or if this is just for one game.

Contrary to Rockstar Games’ announcement, the SteamDB info lists the three games individually. This suggests that Rockstar Games intends to sell all three individually and as a bundle. However, Rockstar has not confirmed a Steam release for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition yet. Rockstar also hasn’t revealed the game’s PC requirements. The good news is that the 20th anniversary of GTA III is coming later this month. If Rockstar wants to drop more specific details about the upcoming remastered trilogy, October 22 is the best time to do it.
