Eagle-eyed fans spotted another change in the SteamDB entry for Starfield. The update changed the release date for the game from November 11, 2022, to December 29, 2023. This new release date has fueled speculation for a late 2023 release. There is also a new “package” added for the game. This may be related to a DLC or Season pass for Starfield. The nature of these updates to the Steam page varies depending on the developer. Fans and insiders assume that the new date is just a placeholder as most AAA titles do not release in the last few days of the year. Bigger studios tend to launch titles just before Black Friday or before the Christmas rush. Bethesda has previously released AAA titles during November. Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76 were launched in the middle of November. However, Bethesda promised that Starfield would come out in the first half of next year.
