New Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Trailer Details
The Ramuh Summon and the return of Fort Condor, as well as Dirge, are some of the key highlights of the new Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade trailer. The trailer kicks things off by showing Cloud and the rest of his party. However, it didn’t take long for the trailer to shift its focus. From the epic battles, the trailer then takes its time detailing the improvements between the original release and the next-gen version. It is only after we’re treated to yet another Sephiroth appearance that the trailer finally shines the proverbial light on Yuffie. For those that don’t know, Yuffie Kisaragi was one of the more popular side characters in the original Final Fantasy VII game. She wasn’t exactly a central character. Players could even finish Final Fantasy 7 without ever encountering her or knowing she existed. Yet, over the years, she’s become one of the game’s most popular characters. But, this time around, she’s no longer an optional character. Instead, she’ll serve as the protagonist of the expansion, Episode Intermission. Yuffie’s story in Episode Intermission starts with her and the other new characters fighting to make sure that Plate 7 doesn’t drop completely. Around this time, the trailer reveals that the fan-favorite strategic minigame, Fort Condor, will make a return in Episode Intermission. Shinra’s Head of Weapons development, Scarlett, also makes an appearance in the trailer. We’d have to admit that we weren’t such big believers in re-releasing Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PS5. However, now that we’ve seen just how awesome the boss fights will look on a next-gen console, it’s looking to be a pretty sweet deal. This is especially since Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also comes with a free copy of Episode Intermission. Just seeing the improvements and Yuffie in action should give players who’ve already finished the game a reason to come back.
What’s Next for the Final Fantasy VII Remake?
In addition to the trailer, Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura also dropped some exciting news for Final Fantasy VII fans. In the same live-stream event where the final Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade trailer debuted, Nomura promised that Square Enix will share more news about Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 soon. Nomura also added that the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 is going well. Interestingly, Nomura mentioned that Part 2 will feature a different atmosphere from Part 1. Square Enix is one of the companies confirmed for E3 2021 on June 12-15. Considering that Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade had already been released by then, Square Enix might show more of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 at the digital showcase. However, Square Enix could also decide to save the trailer for a future Square Enix Presents event.
