With less than a month to go before Ragnarok comes out on November 9, Sony is pulling out all the stops by making sure that the sequel to the best-selling PS4 game gets as many sales as possible at launch. It wasn’t enough for Sony to have more PS5 units ready by the time that the game comes out next month. The console manufacturer also revealed a new PlayStation 5 hardware bundle that includes a copy of the game.
The PS5 Console – God of War Ragnarök Bundle releases alongside the game on November 9: https://t.co/o2AI7tZXys pic.twitter.com/EV7L9hE6ng — PlayStation (@PlayStation) October 13, 2022 Unfortunately, except for the release date and the bundle’s contents, Sony didn’t give us a lot more to work with. Most likely, the God of War: Ragnarok PS5 bundle will sell for $550, which is similar to the Horizon Forbidden West Bundle. However, if you take into account the recent price hike, the company might sell the console package for $560, the same price that it’s selling the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundle. Either way, the upcoming PS5 hardware bundle won’t come with the custom-themed Ragnarok DualSense controller nor a custom design for the console, unlike the same bundle for God of War in 2018. God of War: Ragnarok recently went gold, all but guaranteeing its November 9 release date. If you’re curious to find out more about the game before then, you can keep an eye out for the reviews to be published as soon as the embargo lifts on November 2. In other news, Ragnarok might be getting a PC port in two years, most likely after Horizon Forbidden West heads to the PC.
