While Sackboy failed to live up to expectations set by the LittleBigPlanet series, it gained a lot of praise from gamers and critics. Many lauded it as a fun family-oriented co-op game as well as a great launch day title for the PS5. But, it appears that its days of PS5 exclusivity are numbered. A rumored Steam database listing called “Steel PC” from last October suggested that a PC port was in the works. Now, the updated SteamDB has an icon from the Sackboy game, which all but confirms that it’s headed to the PC next. The Steam listing also contains language support which is usually the last thing updated before a game is ready for distribution. The entry also includes several branches for the game that were uploaded just days ago. Having the Steam listing is a very strong indication that Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be coming to PC soon. According to a Reddit post from earlier this year, it will be the next game to come to PC after Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Sony has been actively porting its PlayStation-exclusive titles to the PC. This year, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Spider-Man Remastered were added to the list of PlayStation games that had been released to PC. In an interview last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan stated that it was a “fairly straightforward decision” for Sony to bring its PlayStation exclusives to PC. He went on to explain that the quality of games made later in the life cycle of the PlayStation 4 has improved and it was fitting to expose these titles to a wider audience. As for Sackboy: A Big Adventure, there is no indicated release date in the SteamDB listing. Sony has not even announced that the game is coming to the PC. If the rumors are true, then we will probably hear an announcement after Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is released on October 19. This probably means that we will be seeing the platformer come to PC by November or during the holiday season.
