To help celebrate the lead-up to the show’s first seven episodes, Netflix just came out with the “final” trailer for the first seven episodes of Stranger Things and it’s like it never left. Season 4 is arriving nearly three years after Season 3 ended, which means that a significant amount of time has passed and the cast has had some growing up to do since. But, as soon as you get used to the cast’s slightly aged appearances, it’s easy to get back into the swing of things. Just don’t be surprised if most of the season doesn’t take place outside of dear ol’ Hawkins. Don’t forget, Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven Byerses have since moved away with David Harbour’s Jim Hopper behind bars in a Russian prison. Having said that, Netflix did an excellent job setting things up with the trailer, featuring a more extensive look at the series’ latest antagonist, a Dungeon and Dragons villain named Vecna. Audiences might have waited for almost three years for Season 4 of Stranger Things, but the streamer is making damn sure that the long interval was well worth it. Case in point, Season 4 is set to be the series’ longest yet. According to the streaming giant, the season finale will be around 150 minutes long, with the rest running for at least an hour if not longer. This is the first time that more than one episode in a Stranger Things season has run past one hour and the only time that at least one Stranger Things episode will be at least two hours in length. It definitely appears that the Duffer brothers weren’t kidding when they called Season 4 of Stranger Things their “Game of Thrones season.” Speaking of Game Thrones, HBO’s hit fantasy series is finally getting a spin-off. House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO Max on August 21 with a reported budget of $20 million per episode, which is surprisingly still lower than Stranger Thing’s $30 million per episode budget.
