YouTuber and surprisingly-effective professional wrestler, Logan Paul, challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and WWE officially announced the matchup on September 16. Reigns became the Universal Champion in August 2020. Since then, he has yet to be defeated despite the fact he has to defend it against many superstars, including Sami Zayn, Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and even Brock Lesnar. On the other hand, Logan has only fought two professional matches in his entire wrestling career, although he won both. One of the two matches was a tag team alongside The Miz against Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. The second match was a solo match against his former teammate The Miz. Before venturing into wrestling, Logan was a boxer with a total of three fights in his career. His first fight was an amateur bout against YouTuber KSI and was followed by a professional match against KSI and his third was an Exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather. While he lost both fights against KSI, no winner was announced for his bout against Mayweather. Despite his 100% professional wrestling record, most fans speculate that Logan won’t be able to win against Reigns due to his relative lack of experience. Nevertheless, WWE insists on marketing the fight by pushing the narrative that Logan can beat Reigns for the title if he can get in one shot and knock him out. WWE Head of Creative, Paul Triple H Levesque earlier teased Jake’s involvement during the WWE’s third-quarter earnings call last week, saying: Meltzer further confirmed this on his radio show, where he said, “And Jake is going to be there. Jake Paul in Logan Paul’s corner, and the Usos in Roman Reigns’ corner, and Solo Sikoa. I don’t expect Sami Zayn there. No one has specifically told me he’s not going. But he has never gone before, and they didn’t want him before. And I don’t know that that’s gonna change. But yeah, The Bloodline in Roman Reigns’ corner, and Jake Paul in the other corner.” Jake is currently undefeated in professional boxing, having won all six boxing bouts he has been in. He defeated 47-year-old mixed martial arts legend, Anderson Silva, in a boxing match just a week ago. Apart from Silva, Jake has fought and defeated former basketball player Nate Robinson, former ONE Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, and former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley. He will be looking to help his brother do the same against Reigns. While Reigns is not expected to lose, many fans believe that Jake’s involvement is going to give Logan a fighting chance. However, the only way to find out will be inside the squared circle on Saturday. However, with Triple H and Shawn Michael’s support and advice, Logan Paul might just get that punch he needs and knock Reigns out. Apart from the Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul fight, wrestling fans can also look forward to the Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley fight happening on the same day. Despite both being members of the WWE for a long time, they have never had a real fight. At the Crown Jewel, the fans who have expressed interest in seeing the two fight will finally have their wishes fulfilled. The fight is scheduled to take place at the WWE Crown Jewel on November 5. It will kick off at 4 pm UK time at The King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
