For a long time, most of us thought that 2010s Jackass 3 was the last that we were ever going to see of the Jackass crew. However, by 2018, talks of a fourth Jackass installment had begun popping up. Now, in 2021, Jackass 4 is not only confirmed, but the upcoming show even has a trailer and premiere date. As we get near the release of what could be the last Jackass film , let’s take a look at everything that we know about Jackass 4 so far.
Is Jackass 4 confirmed?
The Jackass movies are a continuation of MTV’s Jackass TV series, which originally aired from 2000 to 2002. The TV series and all the subsequent films feature the eponymous Jackass crew performing stunts that are borderline insane and almost always end up with someone getting hurt. Rumors of Jackass 4 first started circulating in 2018. Johnny Knoxville later confirmed that it was indeed in the works, with filming beginning in December 2020. Both Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have been hospitalized for injuries related to stunts that were being performed for the upcoming film.
When is the Jackass 4 premiere date?
Jackass 4 was originally scheduled to release on March 5, 2021. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the sequel was delayed to July 2. It was later pushed back to September 2021 before Paramount finally settled with an October 22, 2021 premiere date.
Where can we watch Jackass 4?
— jackass (@jackassworld) July 11, 2021 Unfortunately, Jackass 4 doesn’t have a trailer available yet. However, as per the official title announcement, fans can expect a trailer to drop soon. As for where we can watch Jackass 4, it is scheduled to premiere in theaters on October 22, 2021. It is not yet known if Paramount Pictures plans on bringing over Jackass Forever to its streaming platform, Paramount Plus. If that happens, fans should be able to stream Jackass Forever before Christmas 2021, which is around 45 days after Jackass 4’s theatrical release.
Which cast members feature in Jackass 4?
Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine will return to direct Jackass Forever. By the way, kudos to the showrunners - the title is perfect, especially if this is going to be the last mainline Jackass film. As we mentioned earlier, Johnny Knoxville will be returning, along with Spike Jonze. Both will serve as the writers of Jackass 4, although it would be more accurate to describe the duo as the schemers behind the stunts and pranks. Other Jackass favorites such as Steve-O, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, and Ehren McGhehey are all set to appear in Jackass Forever as well. Unfortunately, Ryan Dunn will not be returning for Jackass Forever. The popular cast member died in a tragic car accident back in 2011. Another member that will be absent for Jackass 4 is Bam Margera. It was revealed that Bam was kicked off from the set of the film for his behavior and sobriety issues. Bam has since hinted that he has been brought back to be a part of Jackass Forever, but. Paramount is yet to confirm.
What kind of stunts should we expect in Jackass 4?
The lack of a proper trailer and other details means that we have no way to know what kind of pranks and stunts we should expect to see in Jackass 4. If we were to hazard a guess, this was a deliberate choice. Knoxville probably wants to surprise the series’ fans. Knowing that Steve-O and Knoxville were hospitalized for stunt-related injuries, we can assume that the crew is up to their usual antics. Age and sobriety appear to have not mellowed the crew one bit.
