According to a job listing for an encounter designer at Sucker Punch Productions, the first-party Sony studio has started development on Ghost of Tsushima 2. Of course, we’re not ruling out other possibilities either. The job description states Sucker Punch will put the candidate to work on delivering “interesting and varied encounters in an open world, with a particular focus on melee combat and stealth.” Both stealth and open-world parts would fit right in with the long-rumored fifth Sly Cooper game. Then again, we don’t think that the stealth platformer series had a lot of melee combat, but who knows? In the meantime, we’re still waiting on Sucker Punch and PlayStation to confirm that Ghost of Tsushima is coming to the PC. A PC port of Ghost of Tsushima was rumored as early as March of last year and subsequent developments have only reinforced the leaks. For example, God of War is already on the PC. Not to mention, the Ghost of Tsushima PC port was included in the Nvidia GeForce Now leak. Finally, Sony is expecting to make a lot of money out of PC ports by FY 2023. Although Marvel’s Spider-Man and The Last of Us Part I should make up the bulk of the console manufacturer’s sales figures this fiscal year, a lineup including Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, wouldn’t hurt.
