Some users point out that they’ve noticed the VRR feature pop up in the PS5’s Settings menu these past few days. If you’d like to see it for yourself, all you have to do is to go to Screen and Video > Video Output > and you’ll see the VRR section after scrolling down. We understand if you’re skeptical as Sony did explicitly say that the VRR feature will come with a new update, but it is possible that it’s been there the whole time and Sony just stealthily enabled it right under our noses. Also, if the VRR feature isn’t showing up on your PS5 yet, some users have had luck rebooting their consoles. So far, this is the list of all the games with VRR support or are the first in line to get it “in the coming weeks.”

Astro’s Playroom Call of Duty: Vanguard Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Death loop Destiny 2 Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition Dirt 5 Godfall Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Resident Evil Village Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Tribers of Midgard

Don’t worry, even if the game isn’t listed with VRR support, Sony will still let you try and apply the feature. All you have to do is to enable it under settings on your PS5. However, the results might vary and definitely won’t be on par with games with native VRR support. The good news is that the list isn’t final and is expected to grow in the coming weeks. It’s only a matter of time before your favorite game gets VRR support. Speaking of Sony, the console manufacturer is under heavy fire right now. After announcing the long-rumored PS Plus rebrand last month, reports have emerged that the company will require all developers to make a two-hour time-limited trial available for all games priced at least $34 going forward. Even if the mandate isn’t retroactive, it puts added pressure on developers while hiding what should be a pro-consumer feature behind a literal premium paywall.
