However, as much time Cavill has spent playing video games like The Witcher 3, it appears that even he hasn’t gotten around to playing its massive DLCs.
The Witcher 3 DLCs prove too massive for Cavill
While promoting The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix, Cavill revealed that he hasn’t played the DLC for The Witcher 3 yet. In an interview with IGN, Cavill was asked if Toussaint will pop up in the show. The said duchy is the setting for Blood & Wine, a massive DLC for The Witcher 3 that has received several accolades and critical acclaim over the years. In his response, Cavill added that he “actually [hasn’t] played the DLC” before adding that he’s saving the DLCs because he’s “heard that they are both brilliant.” In addition to Blood & Wine, CDPR also released Hearts of Stone for The Witcher 3. As for Cavill’s answer, he is hoping that Toussaint will appear in the show. He explains that “there is a beautiful opportunity to explore Toussaint” after talking about how the same duchy also exists within the books. Unfortunately, with Season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix already about to drop, on December 17, it will probably be a while before we get a chance to see Geralt of Rivia’s adventures take him to Toussaint. Speaking of DLCs, CDPR promised earlier this year that it was going to release more content for The Witcher 3 based on Netflix’s popular live-action adaptation. Unfortunately, the said DLCs missed their initial mark, alongside the next-gen version of The Witcher 3.
