A 2022 release window for Gundam Evolution was announced when the game was first revealed. We also know that it is a free-to-play title that will release on Windows PC.
Will Gundam Evolution make its way outside of Japan?
Publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that Gundam Evolution will release in Japan. Unfortunately, there is no information available about a Western release yet, if it will even happen at all. Of course, Bandai would be unwise not to consider bringing Gundam Evolution westwards. Although the mecha series is most popular in Japan, there are lots of Gundam fans from around the world that would love to play something like Gundam Evolution.

Yes. Bandai Namco made sure that it had something to get audiences excited for Gundam Evolution. The first teaser trailer for the game comes with a ton of gameplay footage that led many to refer to the upcoming title as “Overwatch but with Gundams”.
What kind of game modes will Gundam Evolution have?
According to the game’s official website, Gundam Evolution will have three game modes: Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction. The game modes are rather self-explanatory. In Point Capture, the goal is to establish control over specific spots as labeled on the map. Meanwhile, in Domination, teams fight to capture one of three random points on the map. Finally, in Destruction, one team is tasked to protect an object while the other has to destroy it.
Will Gundam Evolution release on consoles?
Unfortunately, Gundam Evolution is confirmed to release only on Windows PCs. There is no word about a console release of the game yet.
