It’s not enough for Rockstar to confirm that development on GTA 6 will continue as planned despite the recent leak. Now, fans believe what a leaker is saying that the next GTA Online event will lead to an official GTA 6 reveal. Back in August, Tez2, teased that a still-unannounced GTA Online Halloween event will serve as a countdown for a GTA 6 announcement. Specifically, Tez2 used the words “high chance”, indicating that this might not happen. It’s possible that Rockstar’s plans have changed since after the most recent set of GTA 6 leaks. But, Tez2 doubled down on this rumor by saying that this year’s Halloween event will start on October 15. Tez2 claims the “Fort Zancudo UFO, unlike the normal UFO model, will appear on Sunday, 23 October 22.” UFOs have been a part of GTA Online for a long time. Last year’s Halloween event heavily featured these extraterrestrial vehicles. So, even if this year’s GTA Online event had a UFO, it doesn’t mean that we’ll get a GTA 6 announcement. But, if we do, we’re hoping that it’s a lot more substantial than a confirmation that it exists or that Take-Two Interactive believes that it will set a “creative benchmark.” Speaking of GTA 6, the hacker is currently behind bars and has already pleaded “not guilty” to charges of computer misuse. Meanwhile, fans are using info from the GTA 6 leak to map out the new Vice City, which is expected to be the setting for the next GTA game. Finally, multiple sources corroborate reports that GTA 6 will be out by 2025.
