In an interview with Forbes, Gadot revealed that she’s “super, super excited for fans to come and watch Wonder Woman 3 once it’s made,” after saying that the production team is in the process of working on the script and getting it made. The news comes just a little over a month after the DCEU delayed its upcoming movie slate and a week following the WarnerMedia and Discovery merger. The latter is believed to have resulted in significant changes, particularly, a renewed interest in more DC Comics movies from the company’s new head. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav reportedly wants to overhaul the DCEU and find a Kevin Feige-like figure to oversee the entire thing. There’s no word yet if such an individual has been found, but it is interesting that we’re hearing about Wonder Woman 3 this soon. Unfortunately, all we have to go on right now is that Wonder Woman 3 is in development and the original Wonder Woman, Linda Carter, might have a significant role in it. If it’s any consolation, DCEU isn’t leaving fans hanging until Wonder Woman premieres. Whether or not Warner finds its own Feige to helm the DCEU, the current lineup isn’t half-bad. In spite of the delay, audiences are looking forward to seeing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson make his comic book superhero film debut as the titular anti-hero, Black Adam, on October 21. Meanwhile, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which might feature a Gadot cameo, will follow suit on December 16. Finally, HBO Max is expected to release Batgirl before the year ends, preferably in between both the aforementioned films now that it’s in post-production. As for Wonder Woman, the most prominent female Justice League member is set to get her own video game from Monolith Productions.
