Knockout City went through what was basically a 10-day free trial after its May 21, 2021 release, which might have had something to do with all the praise that it’s getting. With that said, the developers seem intent on keeping the party (pun intended) going. After the end of the Block Party promotion, the studio announced that the game will be a free-to-play title going forward until players reach a Street Rank of 25.

Studio Does Knockout City Free Trial Right

As previously mentioned, Knockout City’s free trial was set to end 10 days after it launched on May 21, 2021. However, because of the changes, the Knockout City free trial could very well last forever. It takes a while for players to hit Street Rank 25 in the game, especially if you play sparingly. Then again, this is how you do a free trial right. By the time that players buy Knockout City, they’ll have a good idea of what they are getting. Even without the changes to the free trial, Knockout City would’ve still enjoyed a healthy player base. For one, it’s a good game and many seem to love it. The second thing is that it’s free-to-play past Street Rank 25 on multiple platforms. Lest we forget, Knockout City launched on the Xbox Game Pass. In addition to this, Knockout City is also available on EA Play and its premium version, EA Play Pro. Even if Knockout City ends up leaving Xbox Game Pass, those with active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions will still have access to Knockout City. Given how widely available and accessible Knockout City is, it’s clear that EA wants to do everything in its power to make sure that the EA Originals title succeeds. As we said earlier in the article, Knockout City has received glowing reviews from players and critics alike. Most just can’t seem to get enough of Knockout City. However, only time will tell if Knockout City will succeed as a live service game. At the moment, the developers just launched the first season for Knockout City. This will last for nine weeks before a new season with more content is added.
