The upcoming Resident Evil showcase will kick off at 3:00 PM PDT / 6:00 PM EDT / 11:00 PM BST. According to Capcom, the lineup will include “more” than Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
— Resident Evil (@RE_Games) October 17, 2022 Resident Evil Village was one of the contenders for GOTY last year and it’s certainly good news that Capcom will finally release a story DLC for the eighth mainline installment in the survival horror franchise. The incoming expansion will center around a now-grown-up Rose Winters who goes back to the decimated remains of Village 16 years after the events of the base game. It will explore the origins of Rose’s powers and might even include a few familiar faces. Of course, the highlight is the Resident Evil 4 remake. Capcom’s nth Resident Evil re-release was announced earlier this year. It will support PlayStation VR2 and might also be available on the PS4 and the Xbox One if we believe the rumors. We’re not quite sure if the Resident Evil showcase is a response to Konami, but we’re not complaining. Konami confirmed that it will reveal a new Silent Hill on the 19th. It’s definitely a cause for celebration when two of the most iconic games get their own events just a day apart.
