Seven years later and it appears that Activision is ready to toe the line between controversial and viral yet again. Earlier this week, Infinity Ward took to Twitter to release the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, revealing the game’s official logo and title. While neither came off as a shock, fans couldn’t help but take note of a couple of peculiar things that stood out from the trailer. In particular, Tom Henderson claims to have spotted a set of coordinates that, when looked up, produces the location of a building unique to Singapore. Henderson added that he’d seen what appears to be soldiers rappelling down a tall building, which implies that this year’s Call of Duty might be set in Singapore.

The game’s main setting might be in one of the countries that belong to the said continent, but the action could take players to other places like Singapore as well. It’s worth noting that Singapore is currently dealing with a drug trafficking problem in real life despite the government’s intensified efforts to crack down on illegal substances. Ultimately, we’re hoping that Activision and Infinity Ward have learned from their previous mistakes with Singapore. Otherwise, the controversial publisher might find itself dealing with another self-inflicted crisis. Speaking of Call of Duty, Activision is rumored to start playtesting Modern Warfare II this week.
