After confirming its failures with Battlefield 2042 and its intention to rebuild the game from the ground up, an anonymous source has spoken to various insiders to confirm that at least three trailers are coming in the lead up to Battlefield 2042 Season 1’s release on June 9. According to the rumors, content creators have a capture session scheduled for today, June 6, so that they can post their impressions on June 7 at 8:00 AM PDT / 11:00 AM EDT / 4:00 PM BST alongside the game’s video teasers. On top of this, dataminers previously revealed that Battlefield 2042’s first season of content will bring a new operator, Specialist Ewelina, as well as stealth helicopters, premium battle passes, and dedicated exposure lists. DICE also offered a quick outline of all the incoming content for Battlefield 2042 as part of the studio’s goal of earning back public trust.

In addition to admitting that it’s taking the “long-term view” on Battlefield 2042, the game has forced EA and DICE to drop support for its features, including Hazard Zone. Only time will tell how the upcoming updates will resonate with the few Battlefield 2042 players if there are still any. In other EA news, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has finally been revealed. The sequel will pick up after the events of the 2019 title. Meanwhile, EA is reportedly interested in a merger or an acquisition after seeing Microsoft buy out Activision Blizzard. There are also reports that EA has already started playtesting the next Need for Speed game with Dragon Age 4 getting an official name as well. Finally, EA will pay John Madden homage by making the legendary football broadcaster and football coach the cover star of Madden NFL 23.
