According to Insider Gaming, God of War: Ragnarok will run up to 40 hours long. The main story alone will take 20 hours to complete. This puts it right in line with the first God of War game, which isn’t half-bad. Assuming that the report is true, we shouldn’t doubt Santa Monica Studio.
